Lighthouse Quilt

I managed to get my Lighthouse Quilt finished before I went on holiday.
The photo was  taken before I put the binding on,I am really pleased with
how it turned out.

I have just got back from my holiday in Norfolk so normal blogging will now be resumed.

We had a great time and the weather was very kind to us it only rained once.

We went to Norfolk Lavender it was amazing and I spent far too much on plants and Lavender.

Lily spent far too much on Ice Cream but we all had a wonderful time.

While I was away my Jar of  Love swap needed to be posted so that came on holiday too.
To see what was in the jar pop over to Rosalily and have a look.

When we got back we found we had a new Robin visiting us , a young one from the brood of our regular Robin's he is so tame. He hopped up the path next to me I couldn't believe it.

A Bag For My Crochet

I have started making granny squares but I looked rather disorganised  carrying it about in the bag from the wool shop. So I made this bag with a fabric I really like .It has tiny blue birds and red hearts which don't really show up too well on the photo. But that is why it has blue handles and red flowers.
The flowers are from Sew Pretty Homestyle and I really enjoyed making them, and will be making a few more of those I think. The photo is a little fuzzy but I had had a few glasses of wine when I took it so that's my excuse.(HicHic)

My Lighthouse quilt is coming along nicely too I am at the quilting stage, a good job really as I need it next Friday. The photo shows the centre of the quilt I will take another when it is finished.

Pincushion Swap

I woke up yesterday to find a package waiting for me on the doormat. It was the pincushion that Cheryl from Willowberry Designs had sent, I love it, it came with a lovely Thimble Pip. I think I may have to make a few of these for Christmas gifts. It is a stitchery, the stitches are so tiny and the fabric on the back and on the Thimble Pip is the same range as one of the rotary cutter cases I made last week. How lucky am I :)

Pauline has received  her Santa Sack so I can show you the finished Sack now. It ended up a bit larger than I expected though but I really like it.

A Productive Week

I have had a very productive week so far. I think this may be due to the fact that there has only been Lily
and myself in the house all week.

My eldest has moved into his own apartment, my daughter has gone to the Peak District for week and my DH is working afternoons so it is very very quiet. I don't like it much I have to admit.

I made these two different rotary cutter cases but I can't decide which one I like the most, I do like the butterfly button on the green one though. I made them both as gifts to put away for Christmas. My gift basket is filling up quiet nicely now.

I also made these two cross stitches pin cushions.

I wanted to make a picnic rug for my holidays ( short notice, but that is me) and decided on a lighthouse themed one. I have finished all the blocks and am waiting on the postman for the border fabric I also can't decide on the sashing colour either. I had better hurry up though as we go in 19 days.

Well it is back to the sewing machine for me. I hope you all have a very productive week.xxx
