Chicky Chicks

I've had a busy sewing week. Hurrah my stitching mojo has returned.

I've been making little Chicky Birds. The pattern was from Love Patchwork and Quilting Issue 3

I have made 3 in felt and I've got 3 more cut out in material so far. They are so addictive. I might tweak the pattern a little to give them a bigger tail but that's something for another day.

It was my Baby Boys 22nd Birthday last week so I baked him his favourite Milk Chocolate cake from the BeRo book. 

I use that book so much. I'd be lost without it!

Fabrics Chosen and Stitching Sunday

I stitched along with with Chrissie again this Sunday. 

I cross stitched another Easter decoration.

I will hopefully get these finished this week, fingers crossed.

I've also chosen the fabric for a Rail Fence Quilt for my sisters MIL . It had to be a quick design as I only have two weeks to get it finished. 

I think I'll manage it :)

My Hubby is hopefully starting back to work on Monday, so I will have a lot more time for my quilty endeavours.

Sunday Stitching

I didn't have a lot of time for stitching yesterday as I went to the Nantwich Quilt Show & Fabric Sale with three of my sewing buddies. We had a great time and spent far too much money. 

Mind you I have plenty of new fabric to have a play with. 

I did manage to get a bit of Stitching done in the evening.

I'm going to get a another one done this evening hopefully.

I have spent last week making a hexagon heart for the front of a cushion. I am undecided what colour background to use for the cushion. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well I had better go and finish my housework, as I am sneaking out again tonight to a sewing group with a few of my sewing buddies.

FNWF

It was that time of the month again when Cheryll holds her FNWF.

Mine was a few hours shorter than usual as Lily had her first Keyboard Lesson at 7pm so I only had a couple of hours.

I settled down on the bed with a Dvd and a box of Liquor Cherries that my DH had bought me for Christmas. 

(I hadn't even opened them.Shock horror!) 

Not many left by the end of the night though!

 I decided to a small Easter cross stitch which I'll  make into an Orni later on in the week.

I have got another one to do tonight this time of a bunny. They look so cute.

Back To My Sewing

It seems like such a long time since I have done a long time since I have done sewing of any kind.

Three weeks!

But it seems a lot longer. 

I think next Christmas I will make sure I keep a hand sewing project out. I have been doing a little crochet but it's not the same.

I've joined a couple of Swaps. Cheryll's Initial Heart Swap 2014. This swap has now closed

but Tracy @ Mad About Bags Is doing Send A Little Love Swap which is still open is open Worldwide until Friday 10th January. So why not pop over and join the fun.

I'm off to get a cup of tea and start my days sewing. 

No housework today as I did it all before bed last night so I could devote the whole day to myself and sewing  :)
