Lucky Me

I have been a very lucky blogger this week.
I have won a bag made by JoAnne at The Patriotic Quilter
I had to choose the one I liked. I decided on the lighter one but I have to say I did like both.

I have been busy making Halloween Pumpkins this week. I'm going to make a few more in different sizes. I really enjoyed making them, they come together really quickly. Which is always good.

I am off to join a Quilting and Embroidery group on Monday evening so I will let you know how I get on. I really should have made the effort sooner, but the one closest to me was full. I found this one in the village magazine so fingers crossed I'll enjoy it.

I hope you all have a good week with lots of crafting.  xxxx

Halloween Hanging

I haven't done much sewing this week but I did manage to finish this Halloween wall hanging that should have been done ages ago. I really like how it turned out.

I have also been doing a few more Halloween themed bits and bobs for my swap partner I will show these later when she has received them.

I took Lily to the cinema tonight. I had been promising to take her for the past 2 weeks so I thought I had better bite the bullet and take her. We went to see  Brave. To my surprise it was really good, lots of bare bottoms. We both had a good time and came home feeling sick from too much Popcorn.

I hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and lets hope it doesn't rain too much! It's not looking very promising though.
At least I will get plenty of sewing done if it is wet : )

Sweet Treats

Hello as it is lovely and sunny at the moment. I thought I would treat us all and make a Coffee & Walnut Cake. I think it is about the only cake that everyone likes besides Chocolate Brownies. I did make some of those but they were gone even before they cooled so no photos of those but here is the cake.

I will work off the calories tomorrow as we have a full day of gardening in store.
Allotment in the morning. We only got it a month ago and it was like a jungle. We have managed to get half of it under control , so tomorrow we start on the other half.
Home garden in the afternoon. I think I will be slapping the factor 50 on as the forecast is for a scorcher.

Lighthouse Quilt

I managed to get my Lighthouse Quilt finished before I went on holiday.
The photo was  taken before I put the binding on,I am really pleased with
how it turned out.

I have just got back from my holiday in Norfolk so normal blogging will now be resumed.

We had a great time and the weather was very kind to us it only rained once.

We went to Norfolk Lavender it was amazing and I spent far too much on plants and Lavender.

Lily spent far too much on Ice Cream but we all had a wonderful time.

While I was away my Jar of  Love swap needed to be posted so that came on holiday too.
To see what was in the jar pop over to Rosalily and have a look.

When we got back we found we had a new Robin visiting us , a young one from the brood of our regular Robin's he is so tame. He hopped up the path next to me I couldn't believe it.
