A Strange Week.

It was a very busy week last week and I didn't manage to post.
I started a new job at my daughters school, so it was a bit of a strange week with very little sewing done :( . It's over now so time to relax? Or maybe not.

I need a visit to the Quilt Shop to spur me on, so an early rise tomorrow. I did get all of my framed nine patch blocks finished for my quilt so not too bad I suppose. Photos to follow. (Camera issues grrrrrrrrr......)

I posted my gifts for the Friends With Benefits swap from Sew-Happy House, and am excited to see what other people have done. Also this week an envelope dropped onto my doormat from Sew-Happy House a giveaway prize from Hugs and Kisses. I can't wait to get started on making it .

A Busy Week Ahead

I have got a  UFO completed this week it was about time as it has been hanging about for over a year, along with many other UFO's . I am on a mission to get at least 2 more done this week.

Welcome Cushion

My quilt is coming along well too, here are a couple of the framed nine patch blocks from my Duck Duck Goose quilt. I am hoping to get all of the framed nine patch blocks finished this week  . So it looks like I am going to be busy. At least the girls are back to school and college tomorrow. Peace at last ..... Happy Quilting  x

Easter Is Here.

Happy Easter to everyone out there. This week I have been busy doing my house blocks, I started them a while ago so I thought I would try and get them finished over the next few weeks. I have got quite alot to do , along with finishing my swap gift. So I'm going to be busy I think!

With it being Easter and having lots of friends around I thought I would do some baking with Lily, we managed to make Frosted Carrot Cupcakes with Bunnies and Carrots, Lemon Drizzle Cupcakes with a lemon curd centre, Mini Chocolate cakes with Butterscotch topping and Chocolate Crispy Nest cakes one of Lily's own specialities. I think we may have done a few too many though five dozen, hope everyone is hungry.
