I'm Back With My 100th Post GIVEAWAY!

Well it's been quite a while since I last posted but I do have excuses. I was ill with vertigo and neuralgia for a week, they are bad enough when you get them on there own. Together not good  :(   I don't want to feel like that ever again. All better now though!

I've been busy sewing gifts for the Swaps I'm doing. I'll post photos of those when they've been received by my partners.

On a lighter note this post is my 100th post.
I thought I would do a GIVEAWAY.

All you have to do is be a follower and leave a comment below.
Feel free to tell you friends.
I will keep this open until 2pm (UK) Saturday September the 7th and  let you know who's won later that evening.

These are the goodies on offer.

4 fat quarters, cream ric-rac, beads, buttons and a little embroidery scissors case.

Good Luck.

Christmas QAL Part 2

I didn't get my stitchery finished off. I looked through all of my Christmas fabrics and nothing really went with it. This was just the excuse I need to go fabric shopping ;) So on Friday I am off to Leicester with Pat (squeals off excitement)

I did get my two reindeers finished but you will have to wait until closer to Christmas to see them in all their glory.

I had the pieces cut out for my Lynette Anderson Flying Santa so I have begun to blanket stitch around it. I have just got the mittens and hat to do and then I'm going to make it into a runner for the top of  my Bureau.

I just want to say a big thanks to Joanna for organizing the QAL I'm really enjoying taking part in it and looking forward to next month.

Christmas QAL August Part 1

The Christmas QAL over at Needle Thread Happiness is on again this weekend.

I have been sewing a Snowflake stitchery over the last few days. I've finished the centre panel this morning. I love the way it has turned out.

I'm going to try and get it finished this weekend . I don't really need another UFO as I think the cupboard is going to give way with the ones I already have! (Don't we all!)

Whilst I decide what fabric to use for the border. I have started to cut out the reindeer for an applique. This is all you are going to see as I'm going to use it for one of my swaps.

Have a great weekend

It is that time of the month again and its Friday Night With Friends so pop over to Cheryll's and have a peep at what we are all up to!

I had more of an afternoon with friends than a night. It was night in Australia so that was good enough for me.

I decided to try and get my disappearing 9 Patch quilted I got most of it done I have just got to put the binding on.

I really loved the fabric I used, it was 'Posh' by Moda . I bought it while on  holiday in Wales a few years ago, so it needed using it was beginning to gather dust. :)

Have a great weekend

My Summer Garden

I thought I would show a few pictures of my Patio Garden.
It has been a task on it's own to keep it watered.
The hot weather is set to continue in this area, we are to get a few thunderstorms but nothing as bad as they going to get in the south. They have been given flood warnings, I hope they are not too badly affected.

  I love my bunting!

My Hosta's are doing wonderfully

My freshly painted Chimnea.

I have been doing some hand sewing but this is as much as I can show as it's for a Bloggie friends gift!

The biggest job of the week was tidying me sewing room. It had been left and left until I could bare it no more. It took my a whole day to get it looking presentable. I don't want to get it in that state again.

Swap Gifts

I recently did a private swap with Leanne from Lizzie The Quilter These are the lovely gifts I received.
A beautiful needle case, crochet flowers, charms squares and some yummy chocolate which didn't last very long but was delicious.

These are the gift I sent. I made a small Blue Bird tote from Cinderberry Stitches.
I really liked it I may have to make one for myself.

I really enjoyed doing the swap and a big thank you to Leanne for being a great partner.
