I'm a little late with posting about my efforts on Friday night But here we go.

I thought I had better make a cake. You can't have a FNWF without one really. Can you?

This the results of my mornings baking. I can't see it lasting though! As I have a family of Chocoholics.

I started this project in May last year, but somehow it seemed to get pushed to one side.
I found it lurking in a box feeling all unloved when I was giving my sewing space a tidy up, so I pulled it out and decided to give it the attention it deserves.

I managed to get 9 more stars done. Only another 11 to go. Then it's on to the borders.

Why not pop over  to Cheryll's and have a look at what we've all been up to.

  3. Your star blocks are lovely, it is going to be a gorgeous quilt. Yummy looking cake - I am sure it didnt last long.

  4. Wow! That cake was amazing looking!

  5. Hello Melanie,

I wonder how much of the cakes is left? Love the tones of blue of the blocks, good luck with the next 11 blocks.

    Happy days.

  6. Great stars but I'm actually drooling over this yummy looking cake!!! :D

  7. I'm glad you pulled it out of the box to finish...I love stars, it's going to be a beautiful quilt. The chocolate cake looks scrumptious!

  8. The cake looks great. I love the decorations. I like your spring background on your blog too. You should definitely work on finishing that quilt. The design looks great. The star blocks you have done look fabulous. Only a few more FNWF and it will be done :)
