Somebunny Cushion

My friend Richard's sister has had a little baby girl Lilly, she is absolutely gorgeous. As I made his other sisters baby, Ivy a cushion he asked me if I could make one for Lilly.

I love the Somebunny cross stitch designs, so I decided on one of those. It also gave me something to work on in the evenings.
I don't like just sitting watching the TV it seems such a waste of valuable crafting time to me.
I don't know if anyone else agrees?

I really like it and now it's done I don't want to part with it, but it's going to a good home so I don't mind really.
.........

It's going to be a busy afternoon as I have to take my Lily for new school shoes and the last few bits of uniform.

I love having her at home, but I will enjoy the peace when they go back on the 8th September.

More time for sewing!
 ;)

Jammin!

I have been busy this week I've made two lots of Jam for Christmas gifts.

Apricot, there were 6 Jars but every time someone came around they managed to take a jar home with them, so I only have 2 left.
And 6 jars of Jumbleberry (from a Nigella Lawson recipe) I hid this ;) But my sister found it and smuggled 2 jars into her bag.

I'm thinking I will be making some more as these won't go very far.

I used lots of my own berries Strawberries, Blackberries and some Raspberries and Redcurrants from a friend.

I used some free printable labels for my jars from here
I did buy some from Hobbycraft but I seem to have misplaced them.
My memory is terrible much to my family's amusement.

I was also sewing for a couple of swaps but can't blog about those for a couple of weeks yet.

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.

A Fantastic Holiday

It's been a while since my last post, as I didn't have time for a crafty catch up before I went away.
Here are my crafty offerings.  My Christmas QAL blocks ready for finishing, small Christmas stitchery and Teddy's garden stitchery. All ready to be finished. This week hopefully.
We have just had 2 weeks in Cornwall and the weather was fantastic.

We went for glamping for the first time and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a Hobbit Hut in the beautiful Luxylan Valley.

It was just 1 mile from the Eden Project, so that was on our to do list and we weren't disappointed.

We went to Fowey and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is what I imagined Cornish Harbour town would look like. Narrow streets that were filled with quaint shops, my purse took a big hit that day!

I can't actually believe I went away and took no sewing or crocheting at all. I did lake plenty of books though for the warm summer nights with a bottle of wine.

Lily had fun in the evenings toasting marshmallows around the camp fire.

Back to my craftroom this week now I've finished my mountain of laundry!
