BOM Done and Dusted!

I have managed to get another afternoons sewing in today. Yippee.

That's April's block from Quilt Doodle Designs BOM all done and I'm all ready for May's block.

I can't wait to see what the finished quilt will look like.
I'll have to though  :(

I had better take Lily to the cinema as promised, do my shopping and ironing tomorrow and Friday, as I'm off to Uttoxeter on Saturday to the

I went last year and really enjoyed it, spent to much and probably will do again.
But what is a girl to do. It's only half an hour away it would be rude not to!

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Teacup Pincushion

In my box of UFO's I found the fabric for this lovely pincushion already cut out. It must have been six years or more since I started it.

It was a pattern from a Australian P & Q magazine. I could't find any instructions  apart from the pattern paper (lost in transit I suppose). So I'm hoping this is how it is supposed to look.

It was just a case of sewing it together, stuffing it and gluing. So that is what I did this afternoon.

I'm not sure if she is going in the gift box or staying with me in my sewing room.

I hope all you had a great Easter and are getting back to normal.

Easter Offerings

Happy Easter
I hope you have all had a lovely day and not over indulged too much. I know I have. Mind you I haven't stated my eggs yet so that is a bit of a suprise.

Yesterday we went to the Kedleston Hall Easter Egg Hunt. It was quite a nice when we set off but a little overcast , but when we arrived the sun came so we hunted in the warm sunshine.
Lily got her egg from a very large egg box.

Easter Swap Goodies

I joined in the Easter Swap at Mii Stitch. These are the goodies I sent and received.

I sent these to Marie Christine
A Bent Creek chart, threads, linen, easter chick fabric, 2 crochet egg cosies, wooden Easter sign and a Marvellous Creations Easter Egg, it was hard to part with as I love them.

My Cross Stitched item was a Heart in Hand Easter Bird.

This group of goodies popped through my door on Saturday.
I do like it when the postman has to knock as it usually means something lovely to open.
Today was one of those days.

Rita sent me these gorgeous goodies.

A cute Bunny Hanger

I can't wait to stitch this. Rita even sent the threads and buttons

Lemon and Elderflower tea-bags, 2 fat quarters and 4 Chocolate Eggs. I haven't eaten them yet either. Omg!
I do have will power!

Happy Easter

FNWF

I'm a little late with posting about my efforts on Friday night But here we go.

I thought I had better make a cake. You can't have a FNWF without one really. Can you?

This the results of my mornings baking. I can't see it lasting though! As I have a family of Chocoholics.

I started this project in May last year, but somehow it seemed to get pushed to one side.
I found it lurking in a box feeling all unloved when I was giving my sewing space a tidy up, so I pulled it out and decided to give it the attention it deserves.

I managed to get 9 more stars done. Only another 11 to go. Then it's on to the borders.

Why not pop over  to Cheryll's and have a look at what we've all been up to.

These are the other gifts I sent with the cushion.

I loved all the gifts that I received. Thank you so much Kay
