Happy Valentine Day

Happy Valentines Day.

Yesterday I went for a walk to find some twigs for my Valentine Tree. I was going to do this last weekend but the weather has been horrendous for the past ...... Well as long as I can remember.

My thoughts go out to those people who have been flooded out of their homes and there is still a months worth of rain forecast for the weekend.
Keep safe.

This is my completed Valentine Tree. I have put some of the Heart gifts on it that I received in my last two Swaps.

Have a wonderful day.

Initial Heart Swap Gifts Received

Last week I received a wonderful parcel from Lynn in the Intial Heart swap.
Malteser Easter Bunnies yummy!
When I unwrapped the tissue paper I found a lovely bag.
It had a beautifully stitched Angel on it.
Not only did it have my initial on it but my whole name :)
But wait there was more...
Inside were three more gifts...

A silver cross stitched pendant, a crochet pincushion and a beautifully embroidered and beaded brooch with three rose head pins.
I have been so spoiled. Thank you very much to Lynn for her generosity and to Cheryll for hosting the swap.

Coming Off The Rails

The quilt for my sisters MIL is coming along nicely.
I chose a Rail Fence design, as it comes together really quickly and she didn't give me much notice !
It just needs quilting and binding. So I'm going to be busy this week as she needs it for the weekend.

I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm going to bind it in the same fabric as the border .

FNWF

I know I'm a little late posting about my FNWF but it was a little hectic here yesterday.
All calm now though so I'll tell you about my evening.

I found a pattern I had photocopied from a magazine years ago whilst I was trying to bring some order to my pattern file. I had even transfered it to the fabrics! All I had to do was sew them up and stuff them.

I managed to get one stuffed and the others sewn up ready for stuffing.
I've just got to give him a face and he'll be all done.
I'm running a bit low on stuffing. So it's a trip to Hobbycraft for me next week I think.

Thanks to Cheryll for organizing and all our lovely friends for joining in.
Why not pop over and look at what everyone else got up to.

Initial Heart Swap 2014

This year Cheryll  hosted her Initial Heart Swap again. I love this swap it's usually the first one of the year that I sign up for and this year was no exception.

My partner was Amanda
I posted her gifts out late on Friday and she received them Saturday morning!
What amazing service from the Royal Mail. It's not very often you hear that!
These are the gifts I sent.

I received an e-mail from Amanda. She said she loved what I made, so that was a relief. I really enjoyed making them for her.

I can't wait for my parcel to arrive.
I wonder who is making mine?
