It has been a pleasure doing my first hand quilting on my Mexican Star wall hanging I am finding it really therapeutic. I can just switch off and away I go into a world of my own, and with the amount of things going on at the moment it is just what I need.
I have finished my Peg Bag and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. So that is my finish for February and hopefully my Mexican Star Wall Hanging won't be far behind. Then it can have pride of place on my bedroom wall.
I am looking forward to an outing on Thursday with my quilting buddies Pat and Margaret for afternoon tea and maybe a little retail therapy.

Things didn't go as planned!
Well thank goodness the schools are back today, a return to normal service. I may get some sewing done this week. Didn't achieve alot last week as the schools were off for Half Term. At least I got around to putting the wall hanging top together I am really pleased how it turned out. Just have to quilt it now.
I also made two fabric flowers last night whilst watching tv, to go on a peg bag which I desperately need to make as my old one is on it's last legs. I have picked out the fabrics and the design so this time next week it should be finished.
Hope everyone has a productive week without too much stress.

A Snowy Weekend
Saturday afternoon it started snowing so I thought I would start a quick project to finish during the week. I decided on a Mexican Star block.
I woke up to a beautiful snow covered view from my bedroom window. Lily was itching to get out and play in the snow, and as her sister has broken her arm it was down to me to help her build a snowman. It was extremely cold so it was quite a small snowman.
This is how far I got on Sunday after I had thawed out with a cup of delicious hot chocolate. Hoping I will get it completed this week. I may even attempt hand quilting it. Something I have never done before but it will keep my hand busy in the evenings. Happy quilting.
