The Christmas QAL over at Needle Thread Happiness is on again this weekend.
I have been sewing a Snowflake stitchery over the last few days. I've finished the centre panel this morning. I love the way it has turned out.
I'm going to try and get it finished this weekend . I don't really need another UFO as I think the cupboard is going to give way with the ones I already have! (Don't we all!)
Whilst I decide what fabric to use for the border. I have started to cut out the reindeer for an applique. This is all you are going to see as I'm going to use it for one of my swaps.
Have a great weekend

ReplyDeleteLove your snowflake, Melanie - so delicate!
ReplyDeleteYour snowflake is just beautiful Melanie.
ReplyDeleteYour snowflake is gorgeous - and how can you just tempt us with only a little glimpse of your reindeer appliqué?!
ReplyDeleteWill we have to wait until Christmas to see it?
Happy weekend :-)

ReplyDeleteThats such a pretty stitchery, can't wait to see what you make it into,
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is superb! Can you tell me what thread you use and the ply? I like how it is so neat and tidy!
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley. Thanks for the lovely comment. I used 2 strands of dmc . I always run the thread through beeswax thread conditioner. It seems to give it a neater finish.
DeleteThanks for all your lovely comments. I appreciate you taking time to leave your thoughts. Thank you again xxx
