Halloween

Happy Halloween.

It really is one of my favorite times of year and I tend to go a little overboard, much to my DH dismay but he just lets me get on with it.

I started this quilt top last year but didn't manage to get it finished in time for Halloween. So this year I pulled it out of the WIP drawer and got it finished. I'm really happy with how it looks finished.

I've been so busy doing secret Christmas sewing I haven't had time to do any Halloween projects which is not like me at all. Maybe after Christmas I'll get a couple done for next year fingers crossed.
The weather is absolutely dreadful and I was hoping to get my outdoor decorations up this morning but it's not looking like that's going to happen until a lot later this afternoon, if the weather forecast is anything to go by. We've got a Halloween party tomorrow so I won't really have time then. So lets hope for a let up in the rain.

A catch up!

It's been a while since I last posted. But I can show a few of the things I've been making for swaps, now my partner has received them.
I made these Halloween/Autumn themed gifts for Loretta.
This is my stitched pieceit's from JCS Halloween Special called Trick or Treat, by Barb Cooley of Plum Pudding Needle Art.
Tina sent me these wonderful goodies. I love houses so this was right up my street.
The other goodies she sent were great I loved them all especially the peg note holders. They have come in very handy indeed.
.....................
I while ago I put my name down for a giveaway by Kimberley@Creative Chaos
I had forgotten all about it until these fabulous goodies were delivered this morning, just in time for my Halloween party next Saturday.
Tonight I'm going to try and get a few of my felt Christmas ornies finished while I watch a movie or two.

Have a great weekend.

FNWF

I was quite industrious on Friday night as I joined lots of wonderful ladies over at Cheryll's for a spot of crafting.
I managed to finish my Cocoa Cup row for a christmas SAL I started last year.
You never know I may even finish it this year, but I'm making no promises!
I also started my October cross stitch for The Christmas Ornie SAL. It's a Bent Creek design, I hope it grows on me as I stitch it because it's not one of my favorites at the moment.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Christmas Ornies

I haven't had much that I can blog about this month as I've spent most of it making Christmas gifts or swap gifts that haven't been able to show.
I have finished a couple of cross stitches I've been doing for the Christmas Orni SAL
Both Lizzie Kate designs.
I just need to decide what to make Merry Ho Ho into. I'm leaning towards a door hanger I think.
I can't believe how quickly Christmas is heading towards us. I've still got lots to make so I will be very busy for the next couple of months.

Happy Stitching

FNWF It's Finished

It's that time of the month again when we join with Cheryll as she hosts Friday Night with Friends.
I decided it was about time I finished my Husiff.
Here it is all done!
I found this gorgeous button in my box and I think it goes really well with the Tilda fabric I've used.
The lace edged bias tape really finished it off.

Thanks to Jenny from Elefantz for her free step by step tutorial.
Why not pop over to Cheryll's blog and see what we all got up to.

Where did the time go!

I can't believe that it's two weeks since my last post! Where did the time go?
Well I can answer that but I still can't believe it's been two weeks.
I've been decorating and one bedroom turned into the enire upstairs. It's all finished now apart from a bit of tweeking.
So craft room here I come.

I have been doing a little Cross Stitching in the evenings. For the August Christmas Ornie SAL 2015
It needs to be finished by Monday but theres not an awful lot left to do so that's my Bank Holiday sewing project sorted :)
It's a Lizzie Kate design Merry Ho Ho and I've used evenweave to stitch on.
I hope you all have a great weekend.

FNWF

It's a little late, but I've been at Harry Potter World with Lily and Rowan, so I haven't had chance to post.

I mentioned in my last post I've been busy working on my Husiff.
I got quite a bit done and I'm really pleased with how it's coming along.
I've still got a fair bit left to do but I'm hoping to have it finished by the weekend.
I just need to bind it and get some silk ribbon.
Everyone one who joined in was so productive.
Thanks to Cheryll for hosting a great craft night.
